Since October 1997, Daam Van Reeth is working as associated professor at Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel (HUBrussel). Daam Van Reeth is coordinator of "Economics & International Business" in the Business Administration program.
Daam Van Reeth studied economics at the University of Antwerp. Before joining the HUB, Daam Van Reeth was a teaching assistant at the University of Antwerp and at the University of Leuven, campus Kortrijk from 1990 until 1997. As a teaching assistant he wrote a Ph.D. thesis "Competition, bidding and pricing in Belgian Treasury Bill auctions: experimental and empirical evidence on the optimal auction format." He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Antwerp in June 1997.
The economics of sport, with special interest in consumer demand for sport (TV), doping, competitive balance and performance measurement. The focus of the research is on professional road cycling.
